Senior Directors to Continue Growing Clemson Relationships for Corporate Partnerships

In an effort to continue growing Clemson University’s educational, research and economic development opportunities through strategic partnerships, the Office of Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives has promoted Robert Krulac and hired Angela Lockman as senior business development directors.
“Our office’s goal is to continue strengthening the university’s role as an economic development hub for the state of South Carolina by going beyond traditional university and industry partnerships,” said Jack Ellenberg, associate vice president of Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives.
“Rob and Angela’s experience and expertise will allow us to continue cultivating new relationships while further developing our existing strategic partnerships to make their businesses more competitive, accessible and efficient through unique programs that also benefit the university community."
Krulac, who has been with Clemson since 2013, is based in Greenville and reports to David Clayton, assistant vice president for strategic corporate partnerships. He previously worked on business development for the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research and managed industry relationships. His new scope of work will expand beyond CU-ICAR to encompass potential strategic partners in the greater Greenville area for all sectors.
Before joining Clemson, Krulac held several leadership positions, including Americas Business director at Morgan Advanced Materials and with strategic development positions in Transportation and Design with the General Motors Locomotive Group.
Lockman is based on Clemson’s main campus and reports to Ann Marie Alexander, assistant vice president for strategic corporate partnerships.
Lockman comes to Clemson with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. She previously served as vice president of product management at Equifax Workforce Solutions and senior manager of the business incentives group at KPMG.
