Clemson’s Welcome Back Festival raised $18,700 for student scholarships this year.
The Aug. 23 festival is hosted by the Clemson Alumni Association and Student Alumni Council. With the support of 92 vendors who lined the streets, visitors sampled food, shopped for merchandise and won prizes.
There were appearances by Clemson President James P. Clements, the Tiger Band, Clemson Rally Cats and the cheerleaders, and a live band performed.
Festival-goers bought 50-cent tickets for food and chances to win prizes. The money goes to the Student Alumni Council Endowment Scholarship Fund.
