SCHA Personal Membership Groups Win National Awards
Thursday, October 12th, 2017
SCHA would like to congratulate two of its personal membership groups for their success on the national stage! The South Carolina Healthcare Human Resources Association officially became a member of the national American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration and received an honorable mention in the ASHHRA 2017 Chapter Management Awards Program. In addition, Willis Tisdale, Director of Human Resources at Shriners Hospitals for Children, was recognized for winning the 2017 ASHHRA National Mentorship Award. The success of Tisdale and SCHHRA in the national community of healthcare human resource professionals represents the group's commitment to staying on the cutting edge of issues in healthcare HR and following best practices to ensure operational excellence in all of South Carolina's hospitals.
Not to be outdone, the South Carolina Society of Hospital Materials Management was recently awarded the Diamond Chapter Level of the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management, the highest level a chapter can receive from the premier membership group for healthcare supply chain professionals. Mickey Sparrow, Materials Manager at Palmetto Health Tuomey, also received the Lifetime Fellow Award from AHRMM.
Congratulations to all of our personal membership groups that provide the kind of professional development and networking opportunities that make our hospitals great!
