Nelson Mullins Encompass Participates in Light the Night, Raises Money

Now an annual event for Nelson Mullins Encompass, several team members walked in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s fundraiser, Light the Night, on Nov. 1 at the South Carolina State House. The Nelson Mullins team raised nearly $9,000 for patients of leukemia and lymphoma. Though many more contributed financially, the following Encompass members participated in the walk: Mike Bigham, Ann Boney, Travis Bustamante, Wendy Degerman, Julie Flaming, Joe Fornadel, Saundra Gibson, Jacob Henerey, Julia Lanford, Kenya Lighty, Rick McGee, Ronetra Robinson, and Clara Smith.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Columbia, S.C. event raised almost $250,000.  The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission is to “cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.”  Light the Night events are held all over the United States each year.
