Celebrate 10 Years of Giving This Holiday Season
Wednesday, November 11th, 2020
It’s time for the 10th annual Celebrate The Season, and this year you can be a part of something extra special. Over the past nine years, the holiday event donated more than $956,000 to local charities. Join the fun again this year and help us reach the $1 million mark.
Beginning Nov. 27, bring your friends and family to experience Celebrate The Season’s Holiday Lights Driving Tour. This stunning drive-thru path of brilliant LED lighting displays meanders from Santee Cooper’s headquarters through the beautiful landscape of Old Santee Canal Park. All the displays are powered by 100% Green Power from Santee Cooper, and it’s all you and your loved ones need to get in the holiday spirit.
The Holiday Lights Driving Tour is open daily from Nov. 27 through Dec. 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For only $5 per vehicle, participants can make multiple trips through the 2-mile course on the day for which they purchase admission. Proceeds are donated to Berkeley County charities, including the Coastal Community Foundation’s Giving Back to Berkeley Fund.
Also, don’t forget to visit the Weekend Holiday Fair at Moncks Corner Regional Recreation Complex. The fair is organized by the Town of Moncks Corner and will be held on Dec. 4-6; Dec. 11-13; and Dec 18-20. Food and drink vendors, along with Santa Claus, will be at the fair. Due to the pandemic, there will be no carnival rides this year. Admission to the Holiday Fair is free.
If you can’t wait for the Holiday Lights Driving Tour’s opening day, get a sneak peek by signing up for the 8th annual Tinsel Trot fun run/walk, which takes place on Nov. 20, Nov. 21 and Nov. 22. Tickets for the Tinsel Trot are limited to 500 people per night, so register today by visiting www.RaceRoster.com and searching for Tinsel Trot.
